Vintage Chinese ceramic vessel with crackle glaze and metal mount (ca. 1980–2000) This decorative ceramic vessel originates from a late 20th-century Chinese workshop and combines traditional blue and white painting with a deliberately created crackle glaze. The rim and a surrounding band are edged with metal – a typical design element of modern export ceramics, which lends the piece a slightly antiqued character.
The floral decoration is based on classic motifs from the Ming and Qing dynasties, but with a modern interpretation. The base mark "中華 恭製" ("respectfully made in China") is a polite workshop mark, commonly found on decorative pieces from this period.
A charming object for collectors of Asian decoration, for boho interiors or as a small accent piece in a display case.
Condition The vessel is glued in several places; irregularities due to age and manufacturing are possible (craquelure is intentional).
