This extraordinary group of three traditional wooden figures is believed to originate from Bali, Indonesia. Carved by hand, the figures depict stylized male and female figures in a respectful prayerful posture with folded hands.

Particularly striking are the richly decorated crowns, the large ear ornaments, and the remaining traces of the original polychromy. The visible signs of age and use lend the objects an authentic character and tell of their long history.
Such figures were frequently produced in Indonesia as decorative, ceremonial, or representational carvings. However, their exact original use cannot be determined with certainty.
Today, the figures are ideally suited as ethnic decoration, for collections of Asian folk art, tribal art, or as a striking eye-catcher in a Wabi-Sabi, Boho, or Japandi interior.
