    Henry Dieckmann (*19.06.1933 - †11.10.2018)

He was born on June 19, 1933 in Verden/Aller.

He drew inspiration from the pool hunters in Fischerhude who go duck hunting and from life on the farm in his North German homeland.

His true love, however, is France. He spent countless days and hours there, immersing himself in the atmosphere and sketching endlessly. His paintings of bustling bistros, vibrant market scenes, and French people engaged in their favorite pastime, boules, were all created in Paris.

This outlines his main themes: his North German home and his beloved France, especially Paris. The contrast between these places contributes to the appeal of his paintings, which are executed with great care and sensitivity using oil paints on specially prepared wooden panels.
