Adam Szubski (1931–2008) – Signed sculpture of a female figure made of zinc and copper
Expressive metal sculpture by the Polish artist Adam Szubski (1931–2008). The figure, approximately 33 cm high, depicts a stylized female figure with a characteristically abstracted design language, engraved ornaments, and decorative copper elements in the hair area.
The combination of the silvery-grey zinc surface and warm copper accents is particularly appealing. The elaborately designed surface with floral and ornamental engravings lends the piece an exceptional artistic presence.
On the underside is the embossed signature “Szubski” as well as the manufacturing mark “Made in Poland” and “Cynk” (Polish for zinc), which document the origin and material finish.
The sculpture combines elements of Mid Century Modern, Eastern European Modernism and Brutalism, and is equally suitable as a collector's item and decorative art object.
