A rare set of two sterling silver miniature sculptures from Israel, crafted using the electroforming process. Both figures depict humorous, caricatured characters – typical of Israeli silver art from the 1970s to the 1990s.
The pieces bear the hallmark "Israel Sterling," indicating a genuine 925 sterling silver layer. Electroforming creates a lightweight, hollow structure with an outer layer of sterling silver. This gives the figures a solid appearance, yet they are surprisingly light.
The motifs are particularly collectible: – a figure with an exaggerated facial expression, who clutches their head in surprise – a second figure with a book/tablet and outstretched arm, engraved with “A case in one’s usual style”
Perfect for collectors of Judaica, Israeli silver, caricature figures or decorative vintage silver art.
