Vintage Japanese porcelain tea set with hand-painted figures and landscapes – 20th century, Japan
An exceptionally decorated Japanese tea service from the 20th century, richly adorned with hand-painted scenes of traditional figures, pagodas, trees, and landscapes. The fine lines, gold accents, and warm colors are reminiscent of classic Arita/Imari and Kutani designs typical of Japanese export ceramics.
The set consists of: • 1 teapot with bamboo handle • 1 smaller pitcher/sugar bowl with lid • 5 cups • 6 saucers • 6 small plates
The underside bears the marking 日本 三 (Nihon / San) – a typical export mark from Japan.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with slight signs of age-related wear. The paintwork is clear, the gold accents well preserved.
Ideal for: collectors of Japanese ceramics, tea lovers, Asian-inspired interiors or as a decorative highlight.
