Rare pair of brass wall lights by Motoko Ishii for Staff Leuchten, Germany, circa 1970. Ishii is one of the most important Japanese lighting designers of the 20th century and worked closely with German manufacturers such as Staff in the 1970s. Her designs combine technical precision with sculptural elegance – perfectly evident in this compact, warmly shimmering brass lamp.
The lamp consists of a hexagonal brass body, a clear light bulb with a gold tip, and the typical minimalist Staff aesthetic. An iconic mid-century object that can be used as both a wall lamp and an accent light.
