Bachmann is known for his expressive, figurative visual language, which often depicts intimate, psychologically charged scenes. His works combine clear, graphic lines with warm, emotional colors – typical of Swiss post-war modernism.

This lithograph depicts two figures in a sensitively rendered, almost sketch-like composition. The delicate lines and warm red tone lend the print a special depth and intimacy. Works in such small editions are rare today and particularly interesting for collectors of modern prints.

Perfect for collectors of modern graphics, lovers of figurative art and high-quality interior design.

The Swiss artist Otto Bachmann belongs to the post-war modernist generation, which focused strongly on drawing, line, and the human figure. His work is characterized by a sensitive, expressive style that often depicts intimate, psychologically charged scenes.

Bachmann primarily worked with lithography and drawing, his figures distinguished by fine, nervous lines, reduced color palette, and emotional directness. Many of his works appear as snapshots of inner states – calm, vulnerable, introspective.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Bachmann created a series of small, strictly limited-edition color lithographs, which are now particularly prized among collectors of modern Swiss graphic art. His editions are usually very small, often fewer than 100 copies, which makes the works comparatively rare on the market.
