Rare mechanical table clock “Mayak”, made in the USSR (ca. 1965–1975). The model combines a deep red dial with gold ornamental hands and a faceted crystal glass or acrylic bezel that refracts the light and gives the clock an elegant, jewel-like character.
The clock stands on a black base with two metal levers and bears the export mark "MADE IN USSR," typical of Soviet production from the 1960s and 70s. Mechanical Mayak clocks are now sought-after collector's items of Eastern European mid-century design.
Clock does not work, locking screws for the stand are missing - otherwise in good condition.
