Villeroy & Boch Mettlach Phanolith wall plate “Harvest” No. 7036 – 1907 – Large format Ø 44.5 cm, Art Nouveau relief – Antique collector's wall plate

Villeroy & Boch Mettlach – Phanolith wall plate “Harvest”, No. 7036, dated 1907

An exceptionally large and impressive phanolite wall plate from the renowned Mettlach art ceramics production of Villeroy & Boch. Model No. 7036, dated 1907, depicts a finely crafted harvest scene in the typical phanolite relief: a combination of delicate, translucent white relief on a colored ground – a technique situated between jasperware and porcelain and considered one of the greatest innovations of Mettlach art ceramics.

With its diameter of 44.5 cm, this plate is one of the larger, more prestigious formats that are rare and highly prized today. The depiction of peasant work, embedded in floral Art Nouveau ornaments, makes the piece a decorative highlight for collectors, interior design enthusiasts, and lovers of historical ceramic art.

The reverse side bears the typical Mettlach marks: tower logo, "VB", model number 7036, "Ges. Gesch." and the year marking.
