Large CIRO sculpture – Abstract bull 29×40 cm – Italy 1960–80 – Patina, Brutalism, Mid-Century Art – Vintage figurine

Large vintage sculpture by the Italian manufacturer CIRO, created around 1960–1980.
The powerful bull is designed in an open, organic-abstract form, typical for CIRO studio production: wire mesh construction with plastic parts with greenish patina, golden highlights and a stable wire core inside.

The figure combines Brutalism, Mid-Century Modern and Studio Art – a striking statement object for modern interiors, collectors and lovers of Italian craftsmanship.

Condition
Unfortunately, it is defective in some places (ear, etc., see pictures). Due to its organic shape, these defects are hardly noticeable and do not affect the stability - otherwise, it is in vintage condition with a beautiful, authentic patina.
Note: There is a small tear on the ear.

A bull that not only demonstrates strength, but also combines movement, energy and Italian studio artistry into a single object.
This large CIRO sculpture appears as if it were cast from a single piece – raw, organic, full of tension. The openwork forms allow light to pass through, the patina tells of decades, and the golden highlights add accents like sunlight reflecting off metal.

CIRO created art objects between the 1960s and 1980s that hover between Brutalism and Mid-Century Modern. It is precisely this blend that makes the bull so desirable today: it is decorative, but not merely pleasing. It is powerful, but not heavy. It is vintage, yet appears absolutely timeless.

An object that changes spaces.
