Rare collector's item from Japanese porcelain art – hand-painted Imari plate with floral motifs.
This intricately crafted plate originates from the renowned Arita porcelain region of Japan and belongs to the classic Imari ware. The characteristic color palette of cobalt blue, rust red, and white, combined with green accents, lends the piece a vibrant yet elegant appearance. The central medallion and the alternating panels with floral patterns are typical of export ceramics from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The reverse side shows hand-painted blue double rings and stylized brush marks – a reference to the traditional manufacturing technique and its origin from a Japanese manufactory.
