This exceptional vase comes from the collection of the former Hamburg specialty shop Azuma, which was known for hand-selected Japanese handicrafts. The piece bears both the typical Torii sticker with the character 東 ("Azuma" / "East") and an elegant artist's signature executed in gold – an indication of a small Japanese workshop or an independent ceramic artist.
