This is an Italian majolica vase from the ceramic tradition of Savona (Liguria). The base bears the inscription "Savona"—here in the form of "Sara Savona," where "Sara" is presumably the first name of the decorator and does not refer to Maison Sarah Lavoine.

Savona vases of this type are characterized by:
