This beautiful crystal vase was designed by Carl Meltzer in Bohemia at the beginning of the 20th century. It was most likely manufactured by the Schmiedefeld glassworks in the 1950s or 1960s. Hand-cut collector's item without signature.
Octagonal in shape, this vase, made of transparent crystal glass, features five recessed horizontal rings in shades of red. The clear crystal glass has been hand-cut with facets. A wonderful play of colors and beautiful optical effects—especially under the right lighting.
