Ivo Rozsypal was born in Brno in 1942 and is considered one of the leading Czech glass artists.
He began his artistic career by studying glassmaking in Kamenický Šenov, which laid the foundation for his further development in this field. He then continued his studies at the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Prague under the guidance of Professor Stanislav Libenský, an icon of Czech glass art.
Rozsypal's work is recognized not only in the Czech Republic but also internationally, as evidenced by numerous exhibitions, awards, and the inclusion of his works in numerous Czech and foreign collections. His works are characterized by an innovative approach to glassmaking, often combining traditional techniques with modern concepts to create unique works that reflect both the aesthetic and conceptual aspects of glass art.
